  1. Cheryl & I took a ride down to the cesspool called hardebeespoort, yesterday morning. Its the annual Junior J regatta.VLC entered one team of 4 this year as we were not able to find enough VLC sailors to man a 2nd.You know I suddenly realized that it is the parents that stress about their Johnny sailing the keel boat without supervision, the sailors, 2 of which are Opti sailors seem very nonchalant as if they do this ever day .Our team consisted of the Bester twins,Megan and ollie with cobus as
owners rep.4 Races were sailed with VLC getting 2 seconds and 2 which we prefer to rather forget about. As I have said before it is gratifying watching the excitement as they ready for the race. The Barnard brothers I managed to get onto the Pretoria boat, they were signed up as PSC members, and issued with membership cards.

On the way back we passed plenty Busses, cars etc with union Jacks all over their cars heading towards Rustenberg, where USA and England were going to play each other their result-draw 1 all.Every intersection in Joeys has Hawkers selling flags and other soccer goodies. There are so many that I could not attract the newspaper sellers attention to buy a Sunday Times. The Sunday times was not worth reading unless you are really interrested in the World cup.Even the s... and skinder back page didnt have much in it.

Trust that alls well.May the Gods bless you, look after you and bring the winds to get you to BVI as scheduled.
