28 days at sea...aaaahhhhoooooo!!!!!!!!

If you are reading this it means that you have survived the full moon,on
the equinox, over the weekend. The nearest the moon has been to planet
earth my 7 year old daughter Maryna informed me,in 18 years.So yes,it
was big and strong.Through our clear skies and 20x50 binoculars it was a
sight imprinted on our minds for ever.Well done then, you came through.A
bit wiser,a bit more ready for the times ahead.I learned a lot more than
I could ever anticipate during the course of the weekend, and it will
start filtering through the blog in time to come.First need to absorb
before I can share the most amazing insights that was bestowed on me.And
it will effect you, positively beyond your wildest dreams. While I let it
all sink in,this blog will also be linked to a lot of other blogs etc
around the world.I have been waiting for the right time to do this and
for the right person to appear on the horizon who can do the transition
in the best possible way,and give you much more to enjoy. This person
has We promise to stay real and true,as we always have.

Since last night the wind has started veering as we hoped for and
expected. We have been curving towards Madeira, ever so slowly, and
currently we are heading straight for our next stop.Full main and genoa
flying and making the most of the breeze that is pulling us
along, slicing through a very gentle ocean at betwteen 6 and 7
kts.Overcast this morning the sun has come out to play a bit and shine
on us,warming us inside and out.We love the cold and cloudy, and we love
the sunshine as well.In fact, not much we don't love as far as weather
goes.Strong stuff is tuff but we enjoy it for different reasons, perhaps
not at the time we are in it,but in retrospect it also shapes us.

The vibe on the boat is excellent. We came through some very difficult
times in many different ways. But we have just kept at it,never losing
the plot, and doing the best we can with what we get.And now it seems
that it won't be much longer before we see land again.28 days since we
left Madeira,28 days at sea and going strong. It takes some
doing,mentally and physically.

Pieter baked a most delicious bread yesterday.Never had a chance to cool
down.Out of the oven,on the breadboard, sliced and devoured, till the last
crumb.Butter and strawberry jam and fresh bread.Perhaps something you
take for granted, for us out here,a feast of untold culinary
delight.Brad's turn to hit us with his skills behind the stove
today,cooking with gas.

Our position today at PM 03:00 UTC was 25*29'N/32*35'W.Our COG
60*T.Temperature 25*C,wind 13 kts apparent,speed 7 kts,waveheight .5
mtrs.Distance to Greece 2880nm,to Madeira 920 nm.

Go you well and take care

Paul

  1. Dearest Paul, The blog is becoming more and more interesting and cannot wait to go in and see what amazing news and discoveries we can read about. The last few days was especially interesting. Brad your financial insight and comparing the sea and investing a feast.
